Due to rapid expansion they are now looking for Engineering Technician to be based in Australia.

The Role

The engineering technicians major objective is to provide practical maintenance engineering support by utilising practical expertise in design, commissioning, planning and administration of complex control equipment including refinery, overland conveyor, bauxite mine and periphery services (i.e. fresh water lake, etc) and also carry out small installation work in these areas. The Engineering Technician will be also responsible for providing support in breakdown situations.

The most important contribution this position makes to the company's operation is to enhance accuracy, optimise control efficiency and reliability of all electrical and instrument equipment in the process.

The candidate:

" Electrical fitter and Instrument fitter trade certificates or
" Electrical / Instrument trade certificate plus required National Modules to achieve the above equivalent.
" Certificate of Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
" Other :-
" High Voltage Switching.
" Radiation Safety.
" Authority to Electrically Isolate (Electrical Access Permits).
" Tagging Procedures.
" Senior First Aid Certificate.
" TDC / LCN 1 & 2.
" Modicon 1 & 2.
" Bailey INFI 90.
" Instruction and Communication.
" Elements of Supervision.
" Elevated Platforms.
" Lifting Techniques.
" Acting Supervision.

The most important contribution this position makes to the company's operation is to reduce all unscheduled down time of all equipment and to enhance accuracy, control and reliability of all electrical and instrument equipment in the process.

Ensure compliance to work plans and statutory and legislative requirements. Provide organisational governance in the application of 1SAP processes and promote understanding and compliance to 1SAP principles.

The Candidate:

" Technical: Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the Maintenance area and a minimum experience of between 6 months and 1 year. Requires detailed knowledge of principles and concepts related to operating and maintaining operational equipment and limited knowledge of other functions.
" Operational: Contributed to projects.
" Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborated with multiple smaller groups of internal stakeholders on middle management level (E + F roles).
